What is a website maintenance service?

A website maintenance service is a subscription for looking after a website that is already running: system updates, security patching, regular backups, monitoring, and repairs when something breaks. Hosting provides the place the website runs, while maintenance looks after the website itself and its content.

How much does website maintenance cost per month?

Cost depends on the number of websites maintained, the monthly quota of change hours, and the scope of monitoring and backups agreed in the contract. Design overhauls, new feature development, and content production are billed separately. Legia gives a cost estimate after the initial audit in the consultation.

What is the difference between website maintenance and hosting?

Hosting provides the place your website runs. Maintenance looks after the website's content and system itself: updates, security patching, backups, and repairs when something breaks. They are different needs and are usually paid separately. Legia can also provide hosting, billed separately from the maintenance subscription.

Does the website have to be built by Legia to be maintained?

No. Legia maintains websites on WordPress and other CMSs, including custom CMSs built by others, after an initial audit to confirm the site is in a state that can be maintained. If a fundamental problem is found, Legia explains the fixes that need to happen first along with a cost estimate.

What does Legia do every month?

Legia runs system and plugin updates, security patching, malware scans, regular backups, load-time monitoring, and small changes to text and images within the agreed hours quota.

How long are response and resolution times when something goes wrong?

Initial response is 15 minutes during operating hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 WIB) for all severity levels. Resolution is at most 12 hours for severe incidents, 24 hours for moderate, and 48 hours for minor. Outside operating hours or on holidays, only severe incidents are handled, with a response of at most 120 minutes and resolution of at most 24 hours.

How many change hours are included each month?

The change-hours quota is agreed and stated in the contract. Unused hours do not carry over to the next month.

What does Legia do if the website is hacked or cannot be reached?

Legia restores the website from the last clean backup, closes the weakness that was exploited, and then reports the cause. Severe incidents, such as the website being unreachable, get a response within 15 minutes during operating hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 WIB), and within 120 minutes at most outside those hours.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

The maintenance subscription runs for a minimum of one year. After that, you can stop with 14 days' notice, and Legia hands over all access and data backups without withholding anything.

What is in the monthly report Legia sends?

The monthly report has seven sections: website health, on-request tasks, security fixes, small adjustments and bug fixes, content improvements, website audit, and website optimization.
