PT Kebon Agung

One sugar product is read by industrial buyers, job seekers, and stakeholders who ask different things. Legia designed, built, then maintained and monitored the security of the site so each group has its own path.

01About the client

PT Kebon Agung is a sugar producer operating two mills, PG Kebon Agung in Malang and PG Trangkil in Pati, working with partner sugarcane farmers. Its products include premium white crystal sugar, SHS and GKP sugar, retail sugar, molasses, bagasse, and bagasse pellets. Its production standards are certified halal by MUI, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and SNI, and the company runs a separate governance complaints channel.

02Challenge

The same sugar is bought by two types of buyers who ask different things. Distributors and processing industries ask about quality specifications, packaging, and how to order, while the general public, job candidates, and stakeholders come for company news, the farmer partnership program, or the complaints channel. By-products such as molasses and bagasse even have buyers entirely different from retail sugar buyers. A site that puts everything in one list forces each group to filter on its own. A company of this size also publishes new content continuously, so the site has to stay maintained and secure after handover, not just be correct on launch day.

03Legia's approach

Each product gets its own page, and its content is split into tabs: description, raw materials, supporting materials, production process, quality control, and waste handling. Procurement can open the tab they ask about directly without reading the whole page, and the request-a-quote button stays visible in any tab. The most frequent questions are made into an accordion at the foot of the product page, so answers about marketing coverage and how to order need not be repeated by phone. News, events, CSR, and careers are split into their own branches so readers who are not buyers have their own path, and certification logos sit in the footer as a permanent part readable from any page. After launch the site went into periodic maintenance with security monitoring, since content that grows every month means the surface to protect grows too.
