What is a dedicated team service?

A dedicated team service provides engineers who work full time inside your team, following the workflow, tools, and priorities you set. Legia takes care of recruitment, replacement, and employment matters, while the code and documentation are kept in your repository. This model is also known as team augmentation.

How much does team augmentation cost?

The basis is the role needed, the level of experience, and the time allocated per month. Legia gives the details after the role description is agreed in the consultation.

How long until a team member starts working?

The estimate is 2 to 3 weeks from agreement: a few days for the needs assessment, then 1 to 2 weeks for candidate selection and interviews. After that comes a 1 to 2 week onboarding period before the team member takes on work independently.

How does this differ from handing the work over as a project?

On a project, the scope and deliverables are set at the start and Legia carries the order of work. With team augmentation, your team sets priorities and Legia provides the capacity. The right choice depends on how certain your needs are.

Who directs the day-to-day work?

Your team does. Legia's team members join the daily meetings, work boards, and release cycles you already run. Legia provides a technical lead who monitors quality and handles employment matters, but does not provide a managerial role that decides product direction. Those decisions stay with your team.

What if a team member is not a good fit or leaves?

Legia replaces the team member along with a handover period, without you repeating the recruitment process. Notice and handover terms are written in the agreement.

Does the code that is produced belong to us?

Yes. All code and documentation are kept in a repository in your company's name from day one, and the right to use it is yours.

Can the number of team members be raised or lowered?

Yes. The contract runs monthly and its scale is reviewed periodically. Adjustments to the number of team members are agreed before the next period starts, with a notice period written in the agreement.

How is our company data kept confidential?

Legia signs a confidentiality agreement before work begins, and team members work using accounts you issue. Access can be revoked at any time, and revocation is documented.
