Village Website Development

A village website is opened by residents looking for services and announcements, and by outsiders who want to learn about the village's potential. Legia structures the website so both find what they look for, and village officials can update it themselves.

Ask the Legia team ↗
How much does it cost to build a village website?

Cost depends on the number of pages, extra features such as online letter services, and whether the copy is written by Legia or by village officials. The packages on this page give an initial estimate; the exact cost is given once the scope is agreed in the consultation.

How long does it take to build a village website?

A village website of about six pages is generally finished in 2 to 3 weeks, and one of about 15 pages in 4 weeks. Extra features such as online letter services add time depending on their scope. The exact schedule is agreed before work begins.

Is there an online letter service for residents?

Yes. Because it stores residents' data, the online letter service is built as an extra feature, and the types of letters and the flow are set with village officials at the needs assessment stage.

Can the APBDes and population data be shown?

Yes. The APBDes transparency page and population data infographics are set up so village officials can update the figures themselves every year, without developer help.

Can village officials update the website content themselves?

Yes. The website is built on a content management system, so village officials can add news, announcements, and activity photos themselves. A short training is given at handover.

What about the .desa.id domain and hosting?

The domain and hosting for the first year are included, as is the SSL certificate, and from the second year they are renewed for an annual fee. Legia can also help register a .desa.id domain, and if the village already has its own domain, the website is installed there.

Has Legia built a village website before?

There is no village website in Legia's portfolio yet. What has been built are the official sites and service portals of government agencies, such as BNPT, PPID BNPT, and JDIH BNPT, with similar needs: service channels, public documents, and information disclosure.
