Legia

IT Consulting for Companies and Agencies

Legia helps you decide what needs to be built, fixed, or stopped before budget is spent. The output is a recommendation document with a priority order, cost estimates, and the reasoning behind each choice.

How much does IT Consulting cost?

Consulting is billed per engagement, not per hour, and the amount follows the breadth of the system reviewed. The scope and deliverables are written down before work begins.

  • Breadth of the system and number of units reviewed
  • Number of vendor quotes reviewed
  • Depth of cost estimate requested
  • Number of presentation sessions to management
  • Support while the recommendations are carried out

Why Legia

The document you receive

Technology decisions are often made from vendor presentations. These five things give you your own basis before budget is spent.

  1. 01 · Design

A map of your systems today

A map of the systems you use today: what they are, what they are for, what they cost, and which ones overlap.

  2. 02 · Search

    Vendor quotes re-reviewed

Quotes you have already received are checked again: what is needed, what can be dropped, and what is priced unreasonably.

  3. 03 · Engineering

    Findings ranked by impact

A list of findings and risks, ordered by their impact on operations, not by technical complexity.

  4. 04 · Time

    Staged recommendations

Staged recommendations with cost and time estimates for each stage, including options that do not involve Legia.

  5. 05 · Design

    Summary for the board

A one-page summary to take to a board meeting, written without technical jargon.

What is an IT consulting service?

An IT consulting service helps a company decide what needs to be built, fixed, or stopped before budget is spent. Legia reviews the systems that are running or the vendor quotes you received, then hands over a staged recommendation document with a priority order, cost estimates, and options that do not involve Legia.

How much does an IT consulting service cost?

The basis is the type of work chosen. A second opinion on a vendor quote is the most compact, while drawing up a three-year technology plan needs a much larger scope. Legia gives the details after learning what decision you are facing.

Doesn't Legia have a stake in its own recommendations?

True, and Legia does not hide it. Because Legia also builds and manages systems, a recommendation could lead to work for Legia. That is why the recommendation document always includes options that do not involve Legia, and you are free to take it to someone else to carry out.

What is the difference between an IT consultant and a system integrator?

An IT consultant helps decide what needs to be built, fixed, or stopped. A system integrator connects existing systems so they work together. The two often come in sequence, but answer different questions.

Can we take the recommendation document to another vendor?

Yes, without conditions. The recommendation document is entirely yours and is written so anyone can use it to carry out the work.

How long does the consulting process take until the document is finished?

A second opinion on a vendor quote is generally done in 1–2 weeks. Reviewing running systems and drawing up a technology plan takes about 3–6 weeks, depending on the number of systems and work units involved.

We already have an IT team. Do we still need a consultant?

Often not. A consultant is useful in three situations: when a decision is large and hard to reverse, when a vendor quote needs a neutral assessment, and when an outside view is needed from a team that is too close to the system.

Does Legia state its limits on AI use in its work?

Yes. The limits on AI use, anti-plagiarism rules, and anti-corruption commitments are written in Legia's Service Standards, and apply to both consulting work and system delivery.
