Boring Monday

Boring Monday sells items where every unit is different, and sells the reason behind them as well. Legia designed and built the store so both fit without drowning each other out.

01About the client

Boring Monday is a streetwear brand built on zero-waste products and pre-owned goods. Its catalog is divided by line: No Waste Denim for jackets and tees, No Waste Time for pre-owned watches, No Waste STEP for shoes, and No Waste CARRY for bags. The brand stands on three things used both as product filters and as copy: freedom, sustainability, and second chances.

02Challenge

Pre-owned goods and production leftovers cannot be sold the same way as new goods. Stock is often just one per unit, conditions vary, and a new buyer will pay only once convinced the item is worth it. On the other hand, the brand lives off its story: if the reason behind the products disappears, all that is left is an ordinary second-hand shop and price becomes the only thing compared. The two compete for room on the same page.

03Legia's approach

The catalog is divided by No Waste line, not by generic category, so the line's own name explains where the goods come from before the buyer opens a single product. The brand story is split into stand-alone sections, from the opening page and the impact already made to the magazine, so readers who come to shop do not have to pass through it and those who come to read do not get lost in the catalog. Bundles get a page of their own with a benefits box explaining what you get from buying a set, because with pre-owned goods the question is not the discount but what comes along with it. Reader story submissions are made a separate call to action next to the newsletter subscription, and a currency selector and a physical store finder sit in the top bar for buyers from abroad.
